Weekends with Storm

Normally on the weekends, Storm wakes us up to tell us it is the day to take her out for a run. We normally go to ECLC, the school where Carla teaches and let Storm run around. Carla's friend Lenny has a young Golden Retriever, Coach. Storm and her have been getting along well. Yesterday we added another male Golden retriever named Julius. He is 11 months old and quite big. Storm made a point of showing who was dominant, but in the end all went pretty well.

Map of Korea

Here is a map of Korea, with a few of the holiday places we have been to.

Australia

We have finally booked out tickets to Aus, we will be going for 2 weeks at the end of December. I have not seen most of my family from there for about 17 years, so it will be good. I can't promise I will remember who is who, and there are more family members now.

It will be interesting for Carla, first time to Aus, but will probably be a bit overwhelming with all the family to meet.

Becoming Korean

This weekend we realised that we have been here a while now, and are becoming so familiar with the way of life and habits, that we are becoming more Korean. The realisation happened because of food.

On Saturday we were wondering what we should have for lunch, and Carla had been pestering me the whole morning for Galbi (Korean Barbeque). We were at home, so did not want to go out then, so we settled down for .... kim and bap (rice and dried seaweed)!!! And afterwards we commented on how nice it was. Life is really changing.

Bradley with his Kim and Bap

Later that evening, we eventually did go out for Galbi at a nice Korean restaurant near to Itaewon. We sat on the floor, had our Kimchi, Kimchijeege ( Kimchi soup with tofu) our rice and of course the pork cooked on hot coals in front of us in the restaurant table.

After that, we settled down to watch our pirated version of 24 that we had bought from the electronics market.
All around a good day.
