Saturday
Today we went back for a check-up, everything was fine so we didn't stay long, but we were told
"after today, you can't come back!"
At first it was a bit strange, but we quickly realised the intention was " after today, there is no need to come back because everything is fine"
Lost in translation...
We the went out for lunch, we tried to go to restaurant Fradia which is on the Han river. Carla and I went a few months ago, but they were having a wedding day, and the whole restaurant had been booked out. We struggled to think of another restaurant, but decided on Gecko's Garden, it was really good, I had a steak sandwich, Carla and Roy had lasangna and Elisabeth(Tiny) had chicken and scallops with a salad, all the meals were really excellent.
Roy and I decided to head to a pub and have a few games of pool, it was good fun and a few beers later we walked home, bought some groceries and got into trouble for the first time in many years for coming home late, from a pub after a couple of beers ...

Snip snip
Last week we took Brandon to be circumcised, well actually we went the week before but the doctor had already left, so we had to go again last week.
The doctor was really nice and helped to calm Carla down a bit. The procedure lasted around half an hour, and Brandon had just woken up and was ready for his feeding time, so he cried the whole time, I think more from hunger than anything else. The one nurse would put her knuckle into his mouth, he would start to suck and quieten down, but then realise it was a trick and there was no milk and start to cry.
It has healed really well over the last week, and we go in tomorrow for a check up, but everything looks okay.

Grandparents come to town
My parents arrived from South Africa. They are with us for 4 weeks, unfortunatley we're already 2 weeks into their stay. Time goes so quickly and just in the short time that they've been with us, Brandon has grown significantly. He's put on lots of weight and he's now got a double chin and lots of fat rolls. He's started to coo and gurgle at us and he has the funniest facial expressions. He's also just started to smile (we'll have to try and capture all this with the video camera). Everyday we giggle at how cute he is and the little things that he does.
(lunch at the Seoul Club with Granny and Grandpa)
Just a little anecdote - this morning when I woke up for his 4:30 feed, I found him at the top of his cot (he sleeps, as advised, with his feet touching the bottom). He had managed to wriggle out of his swaddle and sleeping blanket, it must have taken quite a bit of effort and he must have really pushed hard with his little legs to get all the way to the top of the cot.
Here are some extra photos.
(I love napping with dad)
(I look awkward but in fact, I'm quite comfy)
Our first outing
Brad and I decided to brave the cold and head out for breakfast with Brandon. It would be Brandon's first real outing into the big wide world and my first outing since being on bedrest from November 15th. So it was a big day all round. First we had to get Brandon dressed and ready for the cold.
(Now I'm ready to go out)
Finally we made it out the door. Brandon didn't really know anything about it because he went straight to sleep in his stroller. When we arrived at the restaurant we had to carry the stoller down a steep flight of stairs and then squash into a little space in this quaint but tiny restaurant. Brandon didn't wake up until we got home and Brad and I had a really good breakfast.
