Bali

We didn't really experience Bali. We were looking for a relaxing beach holiday, and with Brandon still taking two naps a day, we didn't get much opportunity to explore the areas outside of the resort we stayed at. The street below is as far as we got.
The local shopping street
The local wildlife inside the resort. The resort was huge, it had 5 restaurants and a huge lagoon area, as well as a lovely big beach.

The lagoon

The fountains in the lagoon. The roofs jutting out are where the one restaurant was. We had a few dinners and breakfasts there but we tended to go to the restaurant closer to the beach.

Bali 2

The reception area of the resort

Brandon did not like the grass at first, it took him quite some time to get used to it.

Taking an evening stoll around the resort before dinner

No, you're not supposed to playing in the fountain

Brandon stopping to smell the 'roses'

Picking up the chicks at dinner

Hitting on the girls at breakfast
(Are you seeing the pattern, he tried to impress everyone at every meal)
Lunch time by the pool

Ohhh, please can I put a sticky fingerprint on the camera lens

Feeding the fish after breakfast

Having a cold drink after a nice nap

The playhouse (we took Brandon to the playarea on the sweltering hot afternoons because there was too little shade by the pool at that time of day)

Having fun in the playhouse

Noooo, I don't like the grass

Okay, it's not so bad to sit on

Actually this is rather nice

But I still prefer sitting on the towels

Playing Peek-a-boo with the sieve from his beach bucket

Cooling off in the baby pool

Bithday Boy

Yes, I know, we've been really slack about up-dating the blog. A lot has happened since December: Brandon turned one, my parents came to visit, we went to Bali, and we've been to Germany on our look/see visit (although we didn't accomplish too much and will have to return), Brandon and I were also 'ashbound' in Germany and had to stay an extra week. So, mom and dad, here's what you really want to see - some photos of the little guy. (More will follow)

The Birthday boy posing with Granny and Grandad in his traditional Korean outfit (hanbok)
Can't believe they've put me in pink pants and booties

Showing off for the camera

Posing with dad

Are these balloons bunnies or udders?

Just gotta call my mates and tell them it's my birthday (better not mention the pink pants and cute booties)

Ahhh the bonus of being young, you get stacks of presents
