Heidelberg

On Friday we decided to visit Heidelberg.  With two kids with low boredom thresholds, we decided we would just take it easy and not try to see too much.  It is only a 45 minute drive from Darmstadt and we can go again some other time.  We arrived mid-morning and after finding a place to park the car we headed to the Old Town.  We immediately found a bakery since it was Teah's feeding time and both Brad and Brandon were in need of a snack.

At the Bakery

Teah got stuck into this apple after Brandon had eaten half of it.

Enjoying his snack

Getting the pram all sorted out so we can do some exploring

There was a slight chill in the air and I had the little pair of green socks in the diaper bag so at least Teah's toes were warm.

The shopping street

Teah's debating drifting off for a bit.

Brandon thought it was hilarious to have his leg hanging out the side.

Brad had crouched down to take a photo and Brandon insisted on getting out the pram to crouch down too.

We told Brandon to walk to the fountain and sit on the stairs for a photo.

That's him taking a run for it!

Made it to the stairs with a little help from mom!

Oh...that's where we left the baby!

Time for lunch

This little jar of chilli didn't make it through the lunch, Brandon dropped it on the floor.  After his lunch Brandon went to the toilet with Brad and since we've had a few issues with him not wanting to poop on the potty, I've been promising him a little treat every time he does a poop in the potty.  So he came running out of the toilet, so proud of himself, yelling 'ma, mama, poo, weewee, poo, mama' and so he kept yelling as he ran through the entire restaurant (crashing into two people on the way) and finally found our table outside.

After lunch we took a stroll along the river.

Anglerpark

Thursday was a public holiday so we decided to go to Anglerpark.  It had a lovely dam, some farm animals and a beer garden with a great playground.  We had walk around to see the animals and watched a little goat escape from his yard and follow us in search of food.  We then had some food at the beer garden while Brandon played.  It was a great place and we'll definitely return.

The Farmyard

One day while we were enjoying an afternoon at the beer garden and woman started chatting to us and told us about a little petting farm very close to our house.  So last weekend we got onto our bicycles and went to find the farm.  It was very cute, they had rabbits, horses and sheep and a playground for the kids.  As usual, Brandon had a great afternoon.

It was an exhausting afternoon for Teah and she's out for the count in a very awkward position.
