Clever Dog
Yesterday the windows of the complex were cleaned. It's always a big job with men in harnesses absailing around the building and washing down the very dirty windows. The problem is that we have to make sure Storm is inside since (a) it gets very wet outside and (b) the gate between our garden and the neighbour's gets opened. If Storm gets into the neighbour's garden she can get onto the road. Once the window cleaning was finished I meant to go and close the gate but got a bit distracted with Brandon and the daily goings-on in the house. A little later, Brad was busy bathing Brandon when Storm came running in all excited and proud of herself and we knew she must have been exploring in the neighbour's garden. I thought I should close the gate but once again got distracted by things and about half an hour later we realised we hadn't seen Storm for a while. We searched the house, our garden and the neigbour's but there was no sign of her. Luckily, as Brad opened the front door to go looking for her, there she was waiting patiently at the door. She must have got out of the neighbour's garden and when she realised she couldn't get back in she ran around the corner into the apartment block's garage and up the stairs to our apartment. What a clever dog!
