On Sunday it was quite cloudy and rained part of the day, but we had planned to catch the ferry and go around the Sydney Harbour.
We started off by trying to catch the bus to Circular Quay which we were able to do without too much difficulty.
We bought the ferry tickets instead of going on a Sydney tour as an official tour was around 50AUD a person, and a whole day ferry tickets was 16AUD a person.
We first went out towards the Sydney Heads, and then over to Manly. Manly is like a holiday area with a protected bay on the one side filled with yachts, and a beautiful beach looking over the Pacific on the other.
The Ferries were nice, but it started raining a bit so we could not stay outside and look at the view all the time.
After Manly we found a Ferry that headed up the Harbour quite a long way, so it was good to get an overall view of the place. I cannot even think of all the names, but we went past Cockatoo Island, past Dramoyne where I stayed 18 years ago while visiting my uncle Mark in the monastery.
The scenery was really beautiful, and some of the houses were absolutely amaizing. The size of the harbour is also enormous with small bays and outlets going all over the place.
By the time we got back, we were exhausted, so we went back to the hotel to relax before going out to dinner.
For dinner we walked around the Rocks area, and eventually came across a Germany pub style place that served excellent food, but was a little over priced, but was a nice way to end the day.
