Mother's Day

Brad only arrived home from Germany on Sunday morning (mother's day). He got home smack on 7 o' clock, just as Brandon and I were waking up for Brandon's morning feed. Brad came rushing through to the room and, in a loud voice, said, "good morning" and scooped Brandon up in his arms. The look on Brandon's face was priceless - after 5 days of only mommy the last thing he was expecting was daddy. Brad had planned a picnic for us, so we headed out to Yongsan Family Park and had some smoked salmon, smoked ham and brie with french bread. Brad had also bought me a gorgeous Swarovski braclet (it was also for my 30th - I had told him I wanted jewellery but wanted to wait until we were travelling so I could look at Duty Free -his trip to Germany gave him the perfect opportunity to get me a surprise gift). Storm got lots of attention from one group of people and they kept coming over to pat her. We were lucky we got to the park early since it started getting busy at about lunch time (good weather in Korea means that everyone heads outdoors). We decided it was time to go when it started getting more crowded and the people who had been giving Storm all the attention kindly gave us some kimbab to take with us (kimbab is typical Korean picnic food and is made up of vegetables that are specially prepared and then rolled in rice and seaweed - I love it but Brad won't touch it since he had a bout of food poisoning from it when he first arrived in Korea). All in all we had a lovely day out.

The first to tuck in at the picnic was Brandon (I love his little feet sticking out of the blanket)

Still drinking

Why should a dog sit on ground when there's a nice warm body to sit on?

The best seat of the day!
